The members of Squadron 16 “Clorinda” deployed on National Route No. 11 near the “Gendarme Fermín Rolon” checkpoint, together with members of the “Clorinda” Complex Crimes and Judicial Proceedings Investigation Unit, stopped the march of a truck with a patent from the Republic of Paraguay.
At the time of the inspection, the “Dreyco” narcotics detector alerted the officials by marking the possible presence of drugs inside the closed semi-trailer.
The gendarmes also observed on the doors of the trailer that the security seals were adulterated and presented anomalies.
Given these two indications of possibly being in the presence of an illegal act, Force personnel detected that among the 26 pallets that contained a shipment of sesame, there were 282 packages containing 7,835 rectangular packages.
The Narcotest field test was carried out on the bricks found, which yielded a positive result for marijuana with a total weight of 5,802 kilos 940 grams.
The Federal Court No. 1 of Formosa intervened together with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which ordered the confiscation of the drug and the cargo transportation. As well, they ordered the arrest of the person involved.
