A statue depicting former U.S. President Donald Trump and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a pose reminiscent of the film Titanic appeared on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, according to reports.
The 12-foot-tall sculpture, created by the anonymous art collective known as “The Secret Handshake,” portrays Trump embracing Epstein, mirroring the iconic scene of Jack and Rose at the bow of the ship. Plaques at the base of the statue reference the film, stating, “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious travel, raucous parties and secret nude sketches. This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship seemingly built on luxurious travel, raucous parties, and secret nude sketches.”
This installation follows a previous sculpture by The Secret Handshake, titled “Best Friends Forever,” which was briefly installed on the National Mall in September 2025. That earlier function depicted Trump and Epstein holding hands. The U.S. Park Police dismantled the first statue within 24 hours of its installation, citing permit violations, but it was later reinstalled and appeared again outside a Busboys and Poets coffeehouse in November 2025.
The Secret Handshake also erected a 10-foot-tall birthday card for Epstein on the National Mall in January, featuring a sketch allegedly sent by Trump.
The new statue comes as the Justice Department has released documents containing accusations related to Trump’s past connections with Epstein. Trump has denied any wrongdoing or close relationship with Epstein. The Secret Handshake stated the installation also includes ten large banners featuring a photograph of Trump and Epstein, referencing the redactions used in Justice Department documents related to the Epstein case.
The group described the installation as “KING OF THE WORLD,” a further allusion to the Titanic film.
