Trump Warned Iran Over Oil, US Embassy Attacked Again

A missile struck the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad Saturday, as President Donald Trump declared U.S. Forces had “obliterated” military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island and warned of further action targeting Iran’s oil infrastructure. The attack on the embassy marks the second such incident since the escalation of hostilities between the United States and Iran.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social, stated the strikes on Kharg Island were “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East,” adding that he had refrained from targeting oil infrastructure “for reasons of decency.” The claim followed reports that Iran had warned oil firms working with the U.S. Would be “turned into a pile of ashes.”

The U.S. Military action against Kharg Island, vital to Iran’s oil exports, prompted a warning from the speaker of the Iranian parliament that such strikes would provoke a modern level of retaliation. According to a U.S. Official, 2,500 Marines and the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli are being deployed to the region, bolstering the U.S. Military presence amid escalating missile and drone attacks.

Simultaneous with the strikes and embassy attack, reports emerged of explosions in Dubai, attributed to Iranian drone strikes causing buildings to shake in the city’s financial center. Iranian authorities have alleged, without providing evidence, that U.S. Forces are located in ports in the United Arab Emirates – Jebel Ali, Khalifa, and Fujairah – and have urged evacuations, claiming these facilities are potential targets.

President Trump has also expressed hope that the United Kingdom, China, France, Japan, and South Korea will send warships to the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route, to ensure its continued operation. This call for international assistance comes as Iran has effectively closed the Strait, through which approximately 20 percent of the world’s traded oil passes.

The situation remains fluid, with the U.S. Military continuing operations and Iran maintaining its aggressive posture. The White House has yet to respond to requests for further comment on the Baghdad embassy attack or the potential for expanded military action.
