“In politics you can say what you want and if people like it, it works; in the legal field, it’s different,” says Chris Edelson, professor of political science at American University in Washington DC. “It is an arena where there are tangible consequences when you misstep, commit misdeeds or make false statements. It doesn’t work like that in politics.”
