Tucker Carlson and MTG Call for Trump’s Removal via 25th Amendment

Tucker Carlson has described a strategy employed by President Donald Trump as “vile on every level,” coinciding with a move by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene to join Democratic calls for the president’s removal via the 25th Amendment.

The internal fractures within the Republican coalition emerge as the administration manages escalating tensions in the Middle East. During a press conference in Budapest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Vice President JD Vance addressed the ongoing U.S. Military campaign against Iran.

Military Operations in Iran

Vice President Vance was questioned on the feasibility of achieving U.S. Military objectives in Iran while continuing active attacks on the country. He specifically addressed reports regarding U.S. Strikes on Kharg Island, a strategic Iranian oil terminal.

Vance stated that the operational plan involved hitting “some military targets” at the location and added, “I believe we have done so.”

Constitutional Challenges

The call for the invocation of the 25th Amendment marks a significant shift in Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s alignment, as she now joins Democratic lawmakers in seeking the removal of the president. The 25th Amendment provides the legal mechanism for the vice president and a majority of the cabinet to declare a president unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office.

This political movement occurs alongside the public condemnation from Tucker Carlson, who characterized the administration’s current strategic approach as “vile.”

The White House has not issued a formal response to the calls for removal or the specific criticisms leveled by Carlson and Greene.
