Istanbul: Turkey has announced visa exemption for six countries, including the United States and Saudi Arabia. With the aim of attracting tourists and warming the relations between the countries, visa relaxation was announced for the citizens of six countries.

The order of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in this regard was published in the Turkish Official Gazette on Saturday. Citizens of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, United States of America, Bahrain and Canada can travel without a visa.

Citizens from these countries can visit Turkey without a visa for up to 90 days out of every 180 days. This concession was given to Qatar in 2016 and Kuwait in 2017.

Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism said 52.7 million tourists visited the country in the 11 months to November this year.
