Turkey earthquake; Ghanaian football player Christian Atsu passed away

Ankara| Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, who went missing during the Turkey earthquake, has died. Atsu, who was trapped in the rubble for 12 days, was confirmed dead early today.

Christian Atsu was the star of Premier League club Chelsea from 2013-17. The Ghanaian footballer came to Turkey to play for the Turkish club Hatiaspor. Atsu’s team won Hatayspor’s last match once morest Kasimpasa.

Christian Atsu was trapped in a building damaged by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
