Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is preparing to travel to Russia soon to discuss with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, the reactivation of the agreement concerning the export of Ukrainian cereals. This move was announced on Monday by his party’s spokesman, Omer Celik.

Erdogan took the initiative of this visit to Russia in order to discuss the reopening of this agreement, aimed at preventing a potential global food crisis, said Mr. Celik. “He will be going to Sochi shortly. We anticipate that this visit might lead to new developments,” added the Turkish official.
