After 3:00 am on the 22nd, the fire department was notified that “smoke was rising” in a two-story apartment in Matsue, Edogawa Ward.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, 18 fire engines were dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished following regarding an hour, but the first and second floors of this apartment, totaling more than 150 square meters, were burned.

Two people were found unconscious and rescued from the first and second floor rooms in the fire, but later died.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, one of the two people who died was a man.

The site is a densely populated residential area regarding 800 meters southeast of the Edogawa Ward Office.
