Two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu to announce his retirement on July 19 (Nikkan) – Figure Skating

Two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu ended his sports career.

He will announce this on July 19 at a press conference in Tokyo, according to Nikkan Sports.

Hanyu plans to create his own ice show.

Yuzuru is 27 years old, he won the Olympic Games twice – in Sochi-2014 and Pyeongchang-2018.

He has two golds, three silvers and two bronzes of the world championships, gold and three silvers of the championships of four continents.

He won the Grand Prix series final four times and the Japanese Championship six times.

He is the first skater to perform a four-turn loop loop at an ISU competition.
