Tzum | News: Reactions after dismissal of Arnon Grunberg ‘A large popular magazine like Humo should not sink into populism’

The Standard collected reactions from colleagues of Arnon Grunberg at Thereafter Grunberg resigned after 25 years because of Herman Busselmans’ column about Jews.

Delphine Lecompte says in The Standard:

I also have a crazy style, I like the style of Herman Brusselmans. But by tarring all Jewish people with the same brush and using such violent language, he has crossed a line.

Herr Seele understands Grunberg’s choice and thinks it’s stupid that Humo is letting him go:

Grunberg has international class, Brusselmans is more of a local phenomenon. […] A large popular magazine like Humo should not be allowed to sink into populism.

Kamagurka is also not on Brusselmans’ side:

These kinds of gross generalizations are always wrong. At best you are talking drunken talk, at worst indeed revisionism.
