U.S. November PCE price index increased by 5.5% year-on-year, core PCE increased by 4.7% year-on-year | Anue tycoon-US stocks

The data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday (23rd) showed that the U.S. personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index increased by 5.5% year-on-year in November, slightly lower than market expectations of 5.6%, and the revised previous value was 6.1%. (Fed) preferred inflation indicator ─ ─ Excluding food and energy prices, the core PCE price index in November increased by 4.7% year-on-year, in line with market expectations of 4.7%, and the previous value was 5%.

On a monthly basis, the U.S. November PCE price index grew by 0.1%, lower than market expectations of 0.2%, and the previous value reported 0.3%; the core PCE price index in November increased by 0.2%, in line with market expectations of 0.2%, and the previous value following revision reported 0.3%.

In addition, the November personal spending announced on the same day decreased by 0.1% month-on-month, which was lower than market expectations of 0.2%, and the previous value was revised to 0.9%. 0.7%.
