WASHINGTON, Oct 12 (Archyde.com) – The U.S. State Department is working to arrange charter flights to Europe to allow Americans to leave Israel if they wish, according to informed sources.
Charter flights are expected to include flights from Tel Aviv to Athens. An announcement should be made during the day on Thursday, the sources said. On Wednesday, United Airlines UAL.O said it would operate two additional flights between Newark, New Jersey and Athens in the coming days to help Americans trying to return home from Israel.
