The UAE strongly condemned the statement made by the Israeli ministers calling for the expulsion of the Palestinian people. Israeli Finance Minister Bisalil Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gir called for the occupation of Gaza and the construction of settlements.

Condemning the dangerous statement, the UAE said in a statement that it rejects all actions that would create further instability and threats in the region.

An immediate end to the bloodshed and a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza must be implemented. Along with this, conditions should also be prepared for safe and sustainable delivery of philanthropic aid to the region. Action should be taken to protect the vulnerable including sick, children, elderly and women – UAE demanded.

The ministry said in a statement that action should be taken to implement the resolutions of the UN Security Council as a matter of urgency. In the statement, the ministry also raised the demands that the international community should activate the movement for an immediate ceasefire to avoid further loss of life, prevent further escalation of the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, intensify efforts for a comprehensive and just peace, and take action to prevent the spread of violence in the region.
