UAE has announced a 50 percent discount on fines during the Covid period


Dubai: The UAE has given a 50 percent discount on the fines given to those who did not follow the restrictions imposed during the Covid situation. This was informed by the National Crisis Emergency and Disaster Management Authority.

Those who pay the fine within two months from March 15 will get the benefit. The fine can be paid through the websites and smart apps of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Along with this, fines can also be paid through police headquarters. A fine of 3,000 dirhams was levied for not wearing a mask when it was mandatory in public places. The UAE had announced restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic that might result in a fine of up to 50,000 dirhams if violated.
