Abu Dhabi: The UAE launched a new warship. The new French-built warship is named ‘Banias P110’. In a grand ceremony, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed officially commissioned the Banias P110 corvette-class warship into the Navy.
Sheikh Mansoor hoisted the national flag on the ship’s mast. French shipbuilder Naval Group built the new warship for the UAE. After the inauguration ceremony, Sheikh Mansoor toured the ship.
Sheikh Mansoor held discussions with senior naval officers at the Cup. The Chief of the Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Isa Saif Muhammad Al Masroui, the Commander of the Naval Forces Major General Pilot Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Muhammad Al Nahyan and others participated in the ceremony.
