JEDDAH, 27th May, 2020 (WAM) — The UAE National Beach Soccer Team was crowned champion of the Asian qualifiers for the World Beach Games, by defeating Iran 5-2 in the final match today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The goals of the UAE national team were scored by Ahmed Bishr (two goals), Ali Al-Mohammadi, Abbas Ali and Rashid Eid.
The UAE, the “champion” and Iran, the “runner-up”, qualified for the “ANOC 2023” World Beach Games, which will be held in Indonesia.
Our players, Hamid Jamal and Ali Al-Mohammadi, won the best goalkeeper and best player awards in the tournament.
