UEFA opposes Russia’s transfer to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

A source in UEFA said that UEFA does not want to lose Russia’s membership in its organization, and they expect Russian football to return to European competitions following geopolitical tensions ease.
“For UEFA, losing such a country would be a huge blow to its reputation, even in the current situation,” said a source familiar with the matter.
The Executive Committee of the Russian Federation will discuss the possibility of transferring Russia’s membership from the European Union to the Asian Football Confederation. It is noteworthy that the International Football Associations (FIFA) and the European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended, on February 28, the participation of Russian teams and clubs in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
