Ukraine received heavy artillery from Canada – Ministry of Defense

Ukraine has received heavy artillery from Canada that it previously requested, the Canadian defense ministry said in a statement.

The statement clarifies that Ukraine received M777 howitzers and ammunition for them, as well as Carl Gustaf anti-tank ammunition. In addition, armored vehicles will be sent to Kyiv soon, the report says.

In total, since January of this year, Ottawa has transferred military assistance to Ukraine for a total amount equivalent to $93 million. The country’s defense budget for 2022-2023 provides for the provision of military assistance in the amount of regarding $393 million.
