The question of Ukraine’s membership will not be raised if it is defeated in a special operation. This statement was made by Secretary General of the military-political bloc Jens Stoltenberg.
“If Ukraine does not win, then the question of guarantees and NATO membership will not be raised at all,” he said at the press conferences following the results of the first day of the summit in Vilnius. He added that now the most important task is to ensure the victory of Kyiv.
Stoltenberg has previously stated that NATO will simplify Ukraine joining the alliance. According to him, the requirements for the action plan for NATO membership will be lifted for Kyiv.
