On the weekend of the 13th and 14th, President Zelensky visited three major EU countries, Italy, Germany, and France, for two days and one night, to strengthen solidarity.

On the same night, President Zelensky moved to Germany and received the award at the Charles the Great Award Ceremony held in Aachen, Germany on the 14th.

The Charlemagne Prize is awarded to those who have contributed to the unification of Europe.

“Now is the time to make a decision to end this year’s war,” said President Zelensky.

In line with President Zelensky’s visit, the German government announced a large-scale additional support plan of 2.7 billion euros (approximately 3.94 trillion won), including 50 tanks and armored vehicles and anti-aircraft defense systems.

President Zelensky, who moved to France on the followingnoon of the 14th for the last schedule, met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The French president’s office said the two leaders, having a dinner meeting, would reaffirm their support and solidarity for the war.

With President Zelensky’s frequent EU tours, interest is growing as to when the final counterattack to recover the occupied territories by Russia will begin.
