Ukrainian Attack on Russian City of Belgorod: 14 Killed, 108 Injured

14 people were killed and 108 injured in a Ukrainian attack on the Russian city of Belgorod near the border, according to what the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced the day following attacks on Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry said: “Nine adults and a child were killed in Belgorod by Ukrainian army bombing,” adding that 45 others were injured, including four children. Pictures published by the authorities showed cars on fire and buildings with broken windows.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “informed” of the Ukrainian attack on the city of Belgorod.

He confirmed that, at the request of the Russian President, a team from the Russian Ministry of Health, in addition to a group from the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, went to Belgorod to provide assistance to the victims.
