Zelensky asks Xi for help in repatriating children abducted to Russia/Office of the President of Ukraine

（ＣＮＮ） Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that he had asked for help in repatriating children abducted by Russia, detailing a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday.
He made the remarks at a joint press conference with the presidents of Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Zelensky said he had used the “important talks” with Xi to highlight the plight of some 20,000 Ukrainian children. The Ukrainian government has accused Russia of forcibly taking the children.
Zelensky said that foreign aid, including China, would be needed to bring the children back to Ukraine.
Russia is said to be housing Ukrainian children in an extensive network of camps since it launched its invasion last year. The camp network is outlined in a report released by the Yale Institute for Humanities.
In March, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and official Mariya Lvovaverova, accusing them of playing a key role in the scheme.
