Ukrainian President Zelensky’s Press Conference: The West’s Stance on Freezing Conflict with Russia

The West is not ready to give a signal to Kyiv to freeze the conflict with Russia. This statement was made by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky during a press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.

“I think that for now the partners [Запад] they are not officially ready to give us appropriate signals. At least I didn’t hear them personally,” MK reports Zelensky’s words.

According to him, there is no pressure from the United States to suspend support for Kyiv. “I have heard different voices heard in the media and am aware of various discussions,” the leader of Ukraine concluded.

Previously, Matthew Schmidt, a lecturer in strategic planning at the US Army School of Military Studies, said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine might end freezing military operations. Back in November 2023 Zelensky opposed freezing military operations, assuring that Kyiv will suffer losses in any case.
