Quebec City: and Ukrainian refugees to compete in the 63rd Peewee Hockey Tournament in Quebec City, Canada. It is reported that the Ukrainian team has made a good progress in the tournament. A group of 18 Ukrainian teenagers competed in the tournament.

The team traveled for weeks from various Eastern European countries to play in the 63rd annual International Peewee Hockey Tournament in Quebec City, Canada, with only one goal in mind: victory. And they succeeded.

18,000 spectators packed the stadium to watch the Ukrainian team play, many dressed in white to show their support for Ukraine. The teenage players scored two goals in the final minutes of the game to beat the Boston Junior Bruins by a score of 3-1.

The team advanced to the second round following defeating the Romanian Selects youth team 2-0 on Monday. The Ukrainian team will play its next match on Friday morning.

The Ukrainian team consists of 11- to 13-year-old Ukrainian refugees who have been playing hockey since childhood. More than half of the team’s players have fathers currently fighting the Russian occupation of Ukraine.
