UN summit supports poorest countries in the world with 1.4 billion dollars – instead of 500 billion – UNO

Doha – At a UN summit to support the world’s poorest countries, aid pledges totaling just $1.4 billion were made – a sum well below the UN’s expectations. On Thursday following the end of the conference in Doha, UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed appealed in particular to the countries of the G20 group to expand their aid for the 46 poorest countries in the world.
