This Thursday, the traffic service of the Condroz-Famenne police zone, experts from the federal public mobility service and two Autosecurity agents with a mobile control unit carried out an unannounced technical road inspection.
A truck escorted to the nearest garage
In total, 23 vehicles were intercepted on the N4 and N97, and escorted to the Ciney covered market, where checks awaited the drivers. Road tractors, trucks and their trailers were particularly targeted.
Here are the results of this inspection: six articulated vehicles, for various technical failures (damaged mirrors, missing fire extinguishers, cracks in the chassis, etc.), received a fine. A semi-trailer was even escorted to the nearest garage for a repair deemed urgent.
All these problems led to collections (immediate or by transfer) of a total of €2,734.02. Other offenses relating to driving time were noted, amounting to €4,037.
