MDO. Since July 1, Covid-19 has been a notifiable disease (MDO), by virtue of the decree of June 30 published on July 1 in the Official Journal, explains the Doctor’s Daily. As is already the case for the 36 other notifiable diseases (mainly infectious diseases), doctors will therefore have to transmit individual data to the National Public Health Agency. “For the MDOs, the procedure provides that the doctor or the person in charge of the medical biology laboratory reports a case, proven or suspected, without delay, to the doctor of the Regional Health Agency. It is up to him to assess the need to urgently put in place individual and collective preventive measures and, if necessary, to trigger investigations to identify the origin of the contamination or exposure, ”explains the medical journal. .
