Residents of Russia this fall suffered a massive case of a previously unknown cold, which was accompanied by a cough that did not go away for several weeks. The SHOT telegram channel writes regarding this.

According to the source, the disease has nothing to do with influenza, Covid or ARVI. Moreover, the symptoms in all patients were approximately the same – the temperature was low (up to 37.5 degrees), there was severe fatigue and a debilitating cough that did not go away for several weeks.

It is noteworthy that Russia is not the only country affected by this disease. In mid-October, a material appeared on the pages of the journal eClinicalMedicine, which stated that a new protracted form of respiratory viral infection had been discovered by scientists at Queen Mary University of London.

The survey showed that 10 thousand people immediately complained to doctors regarding the existence of “a lingering cold with long-term health consequences from other respiratory infections, influenza or pneumonia, which currently remain unrecognized.”
