According to the report, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have decided to crack down on those who misuse social media. From July 2024, Abu Dhabi introduced a new rule. If you advertise products on social media without an online business permit, you will face fines. In short, you will now need a license to advertise on social media in Abu Dhabi.
1- When using social media in the UAE, do not post anything that insults or criticizes the President of the UAE or the leaders of the Emirates. Also, criticizing the way the government or the country is run and damaging the reputation or interests of the country.
2- Avoid posting false information that may harm the country’s business.
