An unpublished photo of Queen Elizabeth II was published this Sunday, one night before her funeral that will take place this Monday, September 19.
The Queen, who passed away “peacefully” at Balmoral Castle, Scotland on September 8, was photographed at Windsor Castle in May this year. The image was published by Buckingham Palace, in which she appears in a totally blue suit, her pearls and a big smile.
In a BBC documentary that was published just a few months ago, Camila, the new Queen Consort, praised her huge blue eyes, which she said sparkled on her face every time she smiled.. “I will always remember that smile. That smile is unforgettable,” she said.
This Monday the official funeral of the monarch will take place, in which more than 2,000 guests from around the world will gather at Westminster Abbey to bid farewell to one of the most memorable leaders of our time. It was this same Sunday that King Carlos III and Queen Camila welcomed leaders from various countries, including Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau.
All the children and grandchildren of Isabel II are expected to be present at the funeral on Monday, accompanied by their partners. After the funeral, a mass will be held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
