Unrest in Makhachkala: Examining the Impact of External Interference and Unraveling the Truth

2023-10-30 09:57:00

The protests in Makhachkala were the result of outside interference. This is how Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the unrest in Dagestan.

“Yesterday’s incident is largely the result of outside interference,” Peskov said during a conversation with reporters.

Hundreds of Dagestan residents gathered near the airport in Makhachkala on October 29 to meet those arriving from Israel. This turned into riots. On the morning of October 30, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, said that the Ukrainian special services were involved in the protests. Later, ex-State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) confirmed that he sponsored a telegram channel where calls to go out to riots were published.
