While we got the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III reveal today, Activision has jumped the gun a little bit and revealed some info regarding the anticipated shooter sequel as part of the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 event. In a blog post, Activision said that if you had any doubts regarding that, the game will be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Additionally, as recently revealed, the Carry Forward feature lets you carry inventory and weapon progress from MWII to MWIII. But most importantly, we’re told the game will feature “the biggest zombie offering to date,” and there will be new Open Combat missions in the Campaign, a new Combat Vests and Perk system for Multiplayer, a new Tac-Stance campaign and Deeper Gunsmith customization. In addition, we are also committed to improving the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system, which is designed to make the game more popular, in addition to further fighting hackers like it has been for many years. No doubt we’ll be hearing more regarding these new features later today.
