However, it is fast approaching the Pan American and Parapan American Games that are presented as a way of massifying a series of Skills who are displaced by the great sports and who seek in Santiago 2023 have a mass that means help to continue their careers or financing to continue fighting in different disciplines.

For that, it must be understood how the approach of the sport to your life and how he began to succeed without having great help and support for his sports career.

His beginnings in sport

In her words, Nazareth Molina pointed out how she met the figure skatinga discipline that has led her to glory on different occasions.

In relation to this, the skater revealed that “in 2011, my dad took me to a skating workshop and the truth is that I did not like the sport. I didn’t like skating at all because I always found it very difficult, it was a lot of responsibility to have to walk and skate“.

However, he details that “the change was when I went to watch a championship, there began the love for skating. I found that it is a super big challenge to be able to perform in this sport and from there, I have not gotten off the skates for 12 years”.

However, for the current university student of Engineering in business administrationpracticing sports was never a challenge and that during his adolescence he saw some Chilean references stand out in their respective subjects and that this filled her with motivation to take the next step in his career.

To complement this, Nazareth affirmed that “I always liked the subject of sports. I have many skills for it and also, I never really liked studying, because of what it was or sport or dedicating myself to studies”.

Some references that motivated his career

“High performance sport, national teams, always caught my attention. I always saw Isidora Jimenez (Athletics) like an inspiration. I also really like what the Abraham twins (Remo)since they are referents of what it is to compete at a high level of performance and also, because they stand out in their disciplines”, he remarked.

This motivated Nazareth Molina to pursue their dreams and following 12 years of living accompanied by figure skating, she can demonstrate her high level following the various brands and records she has in her career.

The chillaneja has managed to be sixth in the Copa América of her discipline in Brazil, in addition to being champion in Chile in 2018 and South American runner-up in 2019.

However, her discipline and perseverance paid off, since in 2020 she was third in the national ranking and in 2021 the N°1.

Gold and first South American place

However, one of his greatest achievements was achieved in Paraguay just a few weeks ago, where he won the gold medal and the first place in the 2023 Sports on Wheels championship in Paraguay, a title that currently raises her as the best in her discipline in South America.

After winning the important award in Guaraní lands, the Chilean highlighted her place on the podium in Assumption as one of the strongest sensations of his career, acknowledging that “I still don’t believe it. “At that time the taste of being second was bitter and I set out to reach it and it happened. I feel super happy, but there is little time to enjoy itsince I am training for the Pan-American which is coming up now Colombia“, he indicated.

On the other hand, a topic on which he focuses Nazareth It is in the financing or help that he has had throughout his career to pay for his training, utensils and trips to different latitudes of South America.

The little help in his career

The skater clarifies that only once has she received help from the Municipality of chillanby pointing out that “when I reached the South American subchampionship, the Municipality He supported me and gave me a project with which I was able to buy a pair of skates to be able to compete. Other than that, I haven’t had a support or financing in my sports career”.

Currently, to finance her presenting in figure skating, Molina is doing extremely important work to spread and help children to specialize in this discipline.

Nazareth commented that “today I have a skating academy called teamnazasport Ñuble. In it I try to look for new talents in girls and boys. I would like in the future to be national level coach and take out young people, since in Chile, believe it or not, there is a good level. That is my current job and I would like to continue this later.”

Also, he had time to talk regarding his training to reach the most high level of competitionwhere he revealed that “I have gone through all the categories of figure skating (basic, intermediate, advanced, school, promotion and international senior level)”.

“Currently I train in Chillán, in the sports complex Kilamapu with my lifelong coach, Eugene Maraoliwho knows everything regarding my life and has supported me enormously to achieve the goals that we have both set for ourselves,” he said.

Another item that the Chilean skater discussed in the dialogue was the hope of being able to participate in the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Gamesevent for which remains only 187 days for its inauguration and which promises to be an excellent exhibition not just for him figure skatingif not for various disciplines that do not have the focus of attention or the corresponding massification.

In relation to this, Nazareth slipped that “the truth is super difficult to classify Santiago 2023since unfortunately it only classifies one per country, but we are going to continue giving it and training to see if it happens. I must train and a lot to achieve the quota. There is no stopping, since that is a goal that I have in my career”.

On the other hand, he took advantage of making a contrast with a neighboring country which stands out at the sporting level in South America, Argentina.

“I would like that in Chilethe sport was more like Argentina. They are a country that does not have many resources and even so they bring all the athletes forward. they have tremendous infrastructure to train, being a country that has fewer resources than us”, he added.

The contrast with other sports in Chile

In turn, it also launched a comparison between the most popular and consumed sports in Chile as it is soccer and tenniswith great exponents, in contrast to what happens in other disciplines that compete in national soil.

That is why the new South American roller figure skating champion explained: “I feel that it supports a lot to tennis and soccer in our country and all sports should have the same interest in promoting them. There should be support for all of us, the athletes who train just like them”.

“In my case, two weeks ago I went south american champion and I need a lot of support to continue like this. My next challenge is Colombian Pan American now in august and for that i need help to finance my trip and financing. I also need to change my skates, so it’s still hard, it’s hard that sometimes other sports are supported and not us. Unfortunately, Chile is a country with very little sports culture.“, he claimed.

“I would like to feel more support and help to finance various sports, not only mine, but all that we practice various people in silence. Obviously, the support of the Government is essential, but there are also private companies that have the resources to do so. Why not help us who do not have the resources and if we demonstrate and present good results?“, he pointed out.

Finally, he emphasized the power establish a culture of sport that starts from the Collegesdetailing that “boys and girls should have more days of sports, since we are one of the countries with higher rate of obesity and from a young age a habit can be formed to help with health in our country”.

“I feel that the focus must be placed on strengthen the sport and spread it. My message goes to all the boys and girls who like to perform a sport not to give up at any time because one can get far many times without support and only with dedication, perseverance and passion for what is done,” he concluded.
