In the city, you just have to look to see all kinds of animals living with us. The fox, the squirrel, the pigeons, but also the rats. Small, unloved rodents, however, they contribute greatly to the management of our waste.

According to a study carried out by Brussels environment which dates from 2021 and lists 48 species of mammals. Unfortunately, even if this figure demonstrates the richness of our urban fauna, 36 species are today threatened. The main factors: habitat degradation and fragmentation.

Wildlife in the city is everywhere. It includes many species of birds, many mammals such as hedgehogs, foxes or deer, but also many rodents such as squirrels, mice or rats.
