Urgent Warning: Residents of Rue Jean Etienne in Rocourt Advised Against Consuming Tap Water

2023-12-10 09:38:07

La Cile asks residents of rue Jean Etienne in Rocourt not to consume tap water. Since yesterday followingnoon, a strong smell of hydrocarbons has been emanating from it.

We were contacted by a local resident “water has a fstrong smell and taste of fuel in the Rocourt district. It’s the same with my neighbors.”. We contacted Cile this Sunday morning, they told us that investigations are continuing “We are still looking for the origin of this smell. It is still present this morning, but is less strong”. The problem concerns 46 houses, or around a hundred people.

While waiting for the origin of the problem to be discovered and the situation to return to normal, Cile is distributing 10-liter containers of water to the houses concerned. This distribution is taking place door-to-door this morning, a second is planned this evening.
