US government takes abortion pill dispute to Court of Appeals – Abortion

Washington – In the dispute over the future of the abortion pill mifepristone in the USA, the government in Washington has gone before a federal appeals court. A federal judge in Texas ordered that the pill’s approval, granted more than 20 years ago, be suspended, according to the Justice Department’s filing on Monday. Until the matter is finally decided, access to the abortion pill must be possible everywhere in the USA.
