US says Gonzalez Urrutia was the winner of Venezuelan elections

The U.S. State Department’s representative for Latin America, Brian Nichols, said on Wednesday that there is evidence “irrefutable” to declare the victory of the opposition candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, in the Venezuelan presidential elections of July 28.

“With the irrefutable evidence based on the voting records, which everyone can see, it is clear” that the opposition politician “He defeated Nicolás Maduro with millions of votes” advantage, the diplomat said before the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), reported EFE.
