WASHINGTON, June 10 (Archyde.com) – U.S. household sentiment has deteriorated far more than expected since the start of June, falling to its lowest level in more than 40 years, first results from the IRS showed on Friday. University of Michigan monthly survey.

Its confidence index fell to 50.2 from 58.4 in May, the lowest since the survey was created, while economists and analysts polled by Archyde.com had on average expected a figure of 58.0.

The component of consumer judgment of their current situation fell to 55.4 from 63.3 the previous month and that of the outlook fell to 46.8 from 55.2, the lowest since May 1980.
