Vast Drug Case: 22 People Including 3 Police Officers Deprived of Liberty in 45-Search Operation

Twenty-two people, including three police officers, were deprived of their liberty as part of a vast drug case which gave rise to 45 searches on Tuesday, the federal police said Tuesday evening in a press release.

In addition to the suspects, several companies were also targeted by the searches which took place in several judicial districts, including Brussels and Antwerp, the press release specifies.

This operation mobilized more than 350 local and federal police officers, including special units of the federal police, as well as several specialized units of the local police, in order to arrest the suspects, some of whom were potentially dangerous, the federal police added.
