The Vatican’s press office has confirmed that the Holy See has been asked to accept 12 priests who were recently released from prison in Nicaragua. The Diocese of Rome will host them. This was confirmed by Matteo Bruni, Director of the Office of Communications of the Holy See, while answering questions from the media.

He said an official from the Vatican Secretariat of State would welcome and receive them and arrange accommodation in various parts of the Roman Diocese.
