Venezuelan infielder Luis Arráez was not in the Marlins’ lineup for Sunday’s series finale once morest the Brewers following injuring his left ankle in the eighth inning of Saturday’s game.

Arráez said he felt “terrible” on Sunday following twisting his ankle while walking down the stairs of the cave. The lights at loanDepot Park were off for Miami closer Tanner Scott’s entrance, preventing Arráez from seeing where he was coming down and he tripped on a step.

For Sunday’s game, Xavier Edwards replaced Arráez at second, who also missed time this week due to a sprained ankle.

“It’s frustrating because I need to play,” Arraez declared on Sunday. “I need to help my team win. So I can’t do anything. I hope to feel better soon. The good thing is that we have a day off, and we will see how I feel followingwards.”
