Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas.- The National Mission System aims to guarantee the right to health, food, education and social well-being of the Venezuelan family.

In this sense, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the presentation of the Annual Message to the Nation, reported that in 2023, 24 million 326 thousand consultations were carried out through the Barrio Adentro Mission, while on the Internet 17,800,000 hospital consultations were attended to, in addition to 1,545,000 people who received health care during the Greater Love Plan for the victims of the economic war.

“Thanks to the policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to health and the recovery of all infrastructures, we can say that in 2023 we saved more than 3 million lives through direct care through the Public Health System and we did it in time. of economic war,” highlighted the Head of State from the headquarters of the National Parliament.

Likewise, in 2023, a total of 86 million 539 thousand consultations were carried out in the Comprehensive Health Network in Venezuela, as well as 216 thousand surgical interventions were carried out through the National Surgical Plan.

Likewise, a total of 1,226 devices, pacemakers, defibrillators, aortic valves, among other kits, were implanted, “which represents an increase of 147% compared to 2022, despite the blockade,” he pointed out.

Likewise, 9 million 619 thousand vaccines were administered to boys and girls free of charge.

Meanwhile, more than 3 thousand new Comprehensive Community Doctors (MIC) graduated “who are already working in their communities, serving the people.”

Through the Greater Love Plan, more than 3 million 460 thousand people in Venezuelan territory were assisted in a house-to-house visit to the victims of the economic war.

Finally, the President finalized – in 2023 – the creation and launch of the Great Venezuela Women Mission with 6 vertices to address health, the economy, the eradication of violence, communication, culture and the participation of women in Venezuela.

To date, 4 million 426 thousand women have been registered and 81,033 grassroots women’s committees have been formed in Venezuelan territory.
