Venezuelan Woman Dies After Being Hit by Bus During Alameda Protests in Santiago

Events.- On Friday followingnoon, a woman died following being hit by a bus in downtown Santiago. The vehicle was diverting from the protests in Alameda.

A woman died following being run over this Friday followingnoon by a bus at the corner of Nataniel Cox and Alameda streets, in the Metropolitan region. The vehicle was making a detour due to student protests at the José Manuel Carrera National Institute, in the center.

The victim was 41 years old and a Venezuelan national. She died when she was trapped between a RED bus and a street light at the moment she was trying to cross the corner.

Personnel from the Traffic Accident Investigation Section continue to generate the pertinent report to determine the responsibility of the bus driver.
