KB Financial Group’s Chairman Candidate Recommendation Committee selected Yang Jong-hee, current Vice Chairman of KB Financial Group, as the next chairman today (8th).
The revocation committee, comprised of 7 outside directors, conducted in-depth interviews with Vice Chairman Yang, KB Financial Group Vice Chairman Heo In, and Vietnam HD Bank Chairman Kim Byeong-ho (former Hana Financial Group Vice Chairman) starting this morning, and then voted to appoint Vice Chairman Yang. It has been decided to succeed current Chairman Yoon Jong-gyu.
KB Financial Group plans to officially recommend Vice Chairman Yang as the next chairman on the 12th following reviewing executive qualifications.
The appointment of the next chairman will be confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held in November.
