While some sports media figures have had issues properly pronouncing the name of Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs’ rookie standout encountered a new issue Friday night once morest the Warriors.
The star rookie needed to change his jersey midway through the first quarter following the emerging talent took the floor wearing a jersey that spelled his name incorrectly.
Instead of the nameplate on the back of the jersey displaying “Wembanyama,” it incorrectly was spelled “Wembanyana” with an ‘n’ in place of the final ’m’.
