The short film “Invincible”, in which Victoriavillois Léokim Beaumier-Lépine plays, finds itself in the “short list” of finalists for the next Oscars.

It is in the “Live Action Short Film” category that we find it, with 14 other films of the same genre.

“Invincible” is inspired by a true story and looks back on the last 48 hours in the life of Marc-Antoine Bernier (Léokim), a young 14-year-old boy confronted with his crying need for freedom.

The short film has already won several awards, including most recently an Iris at the Gala Québec Cinéma. Added to this is the special prize from the Clermont-Ferrand jury and the jury prize from the Saguenay International Court Festival. The final nominations for the prestigious American competition will be known on January 23 and the ceremony is scheduled for March 10.

As for Léokim, who began his acting career only a few years ago, he has already starred in various projects, including the series “Les yeux verres”.
