Al-Marsad newspaper: Legal Counsel Bandar Al-Amoudi revealed the expected penalties for trespassers on public property and the breaking of aesthetic models in Al-Shawqiah Walk in Makkah.

Al-Amoudi said, during a telephone interview with “Sayidaty” program, “The public property protection system recognizes a penalty of imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years and a fine of 200,000 riyals, and damages repaired.”

He added, “The penalty includes repairing the damages and publishing judicial rulings in local newspapers at the expense of the violator.”

It is noteworthy that a group of photos were circulated documenting the destruction of the aesthetic sculptures in Al-Shawqiah Walk in Makkah, months following its opening.
