Video of an explosion at a gas station in Fallujah, Iraq

On Sunday evening, the Iraqi News Agency reported that there were casualties in an explosion at a gas station in Fallujah district.

Al-Arabiya correspondent said that the firefighting crews largely controlled the fire of the Fallujah gas station, while the Iraqi security imposed a security cordon around the station, pointing out that the initial investigations did not indicate a terrorist act.

The Directorate of Civil Defense said in a statement, “Civil Defense teams succeeded in controlling and putting out a fire incident that broke out inside a cabin supplying gas fuel and 2 caravans taken by protection personnel inside the Fallujah civil station for filling tire gas in Fallujah district of Anbar Governorate.”

She added, “The civil defense teams evacuated four injured people, who were transferred to Fallujah General Hospital, and cordoned off and isolated the fire and removed the danger of its spread to the tanks of the main station, and ended the fire and opened an investigation to find out the causes of the fire in the first place.”
