Abdul Razak Alhassan’s feat makes him the seventh UFC fighter to record three or more knockouts in less than a minute.
Abdul Razak Alhassan, an American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, defeated Italian Alessio Di Chirico in a middleweight bout this Saturday at the UFC Vegas35 event.
It took Alhassan just 17 seconds and a single punch to drop Di Chirico with a powerful and well-calculated kick to the face. The American was so convinced of the forcefulness of his attack that he did not even bother to finish off his opponent; he simply walked away calmly and made a gesture with his hands that it was all over.
With this victory, 35-year-old Abdul snapped off the streak of three consecutive defeats that accompanied him. Meanwhile, Di Chirico, 31, suffered the fourth loss in his last five fights and the sixth in 10 UFC Octagon starts.
Alhassan also earned a $ 50,000 windfall bonus for his impressive and explosive finish. According to the UFC, his feat this Saturday makes him the company’s seventh fighter to score three or more knockouts in less than a minute. It is worth noting that all the 11 victories he has achieved throughout his professional career have been in the first round.
